We love chicken fries! They’re so fun to eat and they’re a quick dinner when we’ve got things going on in the evenings. But I don’t always have time to wait for the oven to heat up and even then they take forever to cook.
Eureka! Make frozen chicken fries in the air fryer! This is the perfect solution and they cook in hardly any time at all! I use my large basket-style air fryer and it holds enough for the whole family, without a bunch of extra oil.
Tyson’s chicken fries work perfectly in the air fryer, but any brand will work, too! Hungry? Make a batch of Air Fryer Chicken Fries for your family today!

- Fill the air fryer basket with chicken fries so that they’re in a single layer.

Chef Jenn’s Tips
- Every air fryer is different. In mine, the frozen chicken fries were perfectly cooked in 7 minutes. Check your chicken fries after 5 minutes and adjust the cooking time accordingly.
- Preheating your air fryer is important so that you don’t overcook the chicken fries.
- Don’t overcrowd the basket – air frying needs room to circulate the hot air and if you stuff your basket your chicken won’t get crispy.
Make It A Meal
Chicken fingers are heavily processed so I like to serve them with something that’s fresh and fabulous, like a salad, a tasty pasta dish, or a rice casserole. Or, sometimes I’ll just cut up veggies – we’ve already got sauces out on the table for the chicken fries so dunking the veggies is also fun.
Air-fried chicken fries are also perfect for snacking! They cook so quickly that when the kids are hungry for a snack, they can nibble on them in no time.
What Sauces Go With Chicken Fries?
Put out all your favorite sauces! I love homemade dipping sauces like these:
- Creamy Jalapeno
- Dill Pickle Ranch
- Green Goddess
- BBQ Sauce
- Garlic Dipping Sauce
- Spicy Garlic Aioli
- Russian Dressing
- Honey Mustard
