I love fondue. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but rather a fondue fork. I’ve been fonduing forever, since my parents were big fans and it was trendy all those years ago.
I made and ate fondue all through the dark years when fondue fell out of favor. And I loved it when we lived close to a Melting Pot because, well, fondue can be a bit of a process, and it’s so nice to leave the cooking and cleanup to others.
I’ve made and eaten ALL the fondue. But this Pizza Fondue is one of my favorites. It’s delicious – of course – but it’s a great introduction to anyone new to fondue because it’s filled with familiar flavors and ingredients.
Perfect for entertaining, cozy nights in, or just exploring something new, Pizza Fondue is fun, fabulous, and downright delish!

Step By Step Process
Chef Jenn’s Tips
- Use a non-stick pot for easier cleanup and to prevent sticking.
- Add the cheese gradually to ensure a smooth texture.
- Keep the fondue warm on a fondue burner or in a slow cooker on a low setting to maintain its creamy consistency.
- Experiment with different cheeses for a variety of flavors.
Dippers
- Pizza crust: Cut a prepared pizza crust into wedges for dipping.
- Garlic breadsticks: Pizza and breadsticks are a great combination, and so is Pizza Fondue and breadsticks!
- Everything bagel pizza dough bites: So perfect for dipping into the cheese.
- Grilled chicken pieces: Adds a meaty and hearty element to the fondue.
- Meatballs: Small-sized for easy dipping, bringing a pizza-like experience.
- Cherry tomatoes: Adds a burst of freshness and a slight tang.
- Bell pepper strips: Offers a crunchy texture and sweet flavor.
- Broccoli florets: A healthy option that complements the cheese well.
- Mushrooms: Their earthy flavor pairs nicely with the richness of the cheese.
- Mini pepperoni slices: For an authentic pizza flavor.
- Pretzel bites: The saltiness contrasts and enhances the cheesy taste.
- Cooked sausage slices: Another meaty option that’s full of flavor.
- Cooked tortellini (like penne or fusilli): For a unique, carb-loaded dipper.
Storage
Pizza fondue is best enjoyed fresh, but if you have leftovers, they can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, gently warm the fondue over low heat, adding a splash of wine or milk if it’s too thick. Do not heat your fondue cheese in the microwave – the heat is too intense, and your cheese will split and get oily. Freezing is also not recommended.
