Pizza Fondue - A Tasty Twist on Classic Fondue

- ½ pound fontina cheese shredded
- ½ pound mozzarella cheese shredded
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup dry white wine like chardonnay
- 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
- ½ teaspoon dehydrated minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon oregano or basil
Optional dippers
- breadsticks, pizza crust, meatballs, pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, grilled chicken, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, pretzel bites, cooked sausage, cooked torellini or mini ravioli.
Shred the cheese and toss it with the cornstarch in a large bowl. Set it aside.
Heat the wine in a nonstick pot or skillet until just boiling. Add the garlic and oregano.
Turn off the heat and add the cheese, a few handfuls at a time, until thick and creamy. Stir continuously.
Stir in the pizza sauce, and serve!
