Pizza Fondue - A Tasty Twist on Classic Fondue

Filled with familiar flavors and with fun dippers, Pizza Fondue is a great way to enjoy fondue! Perfect on family game nights, for game day parties, or anytime, skip the pizza and make fondue, instead!

Ingredients

  • ½ pound fontina cheese shredded
  • ½ pound mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup dry white wine like chardonnay
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
  • ½ teaspoon dehydrated minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon oregano or basil

Optional dippers

  • breadsticks, pizza crust, meatballs, pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, grilled chicken, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, pretzel bites, cooked sausage, cooked torellini or mini ravioli.

Instructions

  • Shred the cheese and toss it with the cornstarch in a large bowl. Set it aside.
  • Heat the wine in a nonstick pot or skillet until just boiling. Add the garlic and oregano.
  • Turn off the heat and add the cheese, a few handfuls at a time, until thick and creamy. Stir continuously.
  • Stir in the pizza sauce, and serve!
