Weekly Meal Plan #48
I planned this week around one rule: every night should feel like a celebration, whether you’re outside at the grill or cooking in your kitchen. July 4th is a Saturday this year, so the holiday gets the full treatment and the whole week builds toward it.

Before you head to the store, do a quick pantry check. A few ingredients show up in more than one recipe this week. The shopping list is below.
Monday — Blackstone Smash Burgers
A special seasoning blend and a screaming hot griddle give these burgers lacy, caramelized edges that make all the difference. This is my go-to smash burger and once you try them this way, there’s no going back.
Tuesday — Buttermilk Fried Chicken
Buttermilk-soaked, golden-crusted, and seasoned all the way through — this is fried chicken done right. I love how the coating shatters on the first bite and stays juicy every single time.
Wednesday — Steaks on the Blackstone
Cooking steak on the Blackstone gives you a sear that’s hard to replicate any other way. Bold crust, juicy center.
Thursday — Baja Fish Tacos
Light, fresh fish with crunchy toppings and a bright sauce that ties everything together in one bite. These come together in less than 30 minutes and I make them on repeat all summer long.
Friday — Sheet Pan Bratwurst & Potatoes
Bratwurst and golden roasted potatoes go into one pan and the oven takes it from there. Friday is for winding down before the holiday and this dinner makes that easy.
Saturday — Tomahawk Steak
If I’m pulling out the smoker on July 4th, it’s for this. That dramatic bone, that slow smoky crust, this is the kind of centerpiece that makes everyone stop talking the moment it hits the patio.
Sunday — Air Fryer Seasoned Shrimp
Toss shrimp with garlic, paprika, and a few pantry spices and the air fryer does the rest in under 10 minutes. Easy, flavorful, and exactly what a Sunday night calls for.
Salads and Sides
Desserts
Everything is set for the week. If I had to pick one thing I’m most excited about, it’s the smoked peaches, spiced rum whipped cream on top, eaten outside, right after the fireworks. Grab the grocery list above. Make it a good one.
