- 1.5 ounces Cabot Trail Maple Cream liqueur use 1 ounce of heavy whipping cream mixed with 1 ounce of rum and 1 teaspoon of maple syrup if you don’t have the liqueur
- 4-6 ounces coffee
- 2 tablespoons whipped cream
- 1 teaspoon chocolate shavings
Brew 4-6 ounces of your favorite strong, unflavored coffee. Don’t add cream or sugar.
Pour the coffee into a mug and let it settle.
Carefully pour the liqueur down the side of the glass so it settles at the bottom of the cup, under the coffee layer.
Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, and serve.
Chef Jenn's Tips
- For the perfect layered drink, let the coffee in the cup become still before adding the liqueur to prevent mixing.
- Choose a high-quality coffee to complement the richness of the Cabot Trail Maple Cream.
- Garnishing with chocolate shavings not only adds a visual appeal but also enhances the overall taste.
