Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces Cabot Trail Maple Cream liqueur use 1 ounce of heavy whipping cream mixed with 1 ounce of rum and 1 teaspoon of maple syrup if you don’t have the liqueur
  • 4-6 ounces coffee
  • 2 tablespoons whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon chocolate shavings

Instructions

  • Brew 4-6 ounces of your favorite strong, unflavored coffee. Don’t add cream or sugar.
  • Pour the coffee into a mug and let it settle.
  • Carefully pour the liqueur down the side of the glass so it settles at the bottom of the cup, under the coffee layer.
  • Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, and serve.

Notes

Chef Jenn's Tips

  • For the perfect layered drink, let the coffee in the cup become still before adding the liqueur to prevent mixing.
  • Choose a high-quality coffee to complement the richness of the Cabot Trail Maple Cream.
  • Garnishing with chocolate shavings not only adds a visual appeal but also enhances the overall taste.
